Engaging in therapy is an act of bravery and an investment in your quality of life. I work with individuals ages 16 and up on a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, and other life stressors. I have a special interest in OCD and anxiety disorders, and have been trained in evidence-based treatments for these issues.
I believe that mental health is impacted by both our life experiences and our biology, and gaining insight into how these come together to affect your understanding of self, others, and the world around you is an important part of our work together. My first priority as a therapist is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where we can discuss past and present patterns of behavior, and explore the thoughts, sensations, and emotions that arise with compassion and curiosity. Our sessions will use empirically supported methods to help you navigate your current situation and work towards your future objectives. I am here to listen, offer tools and teach skills when needed, and support you in achieving your therapy goals.
