Talis Slatick, Clinical Intern
I am a counselor-in-training studying remotely at Minnesota State University--Moorhead from here in Eugene. When working with clients, I use cognitive-behavioral techniques and offer coping skills and strategies to encourage new behaviors and thought patterns. I believe in the power of finding new ways to look at challenging experiences so that they can be turned into opportunities for growth and healing. I also believe in focusing on the here-and-now in therapy, while still considering the important elements of the past. I work collaboratively with clients using a strengths based approach and trusted research methods. Together we will discuss your goals. It is my job to help you achieve the goals that you have chosen and to provide effective clinical skills that will aid in that process.
I work with clients from various backgrounds. My emphasis is on adult clients, specifically those experiencing symptoms of trauma, anxiety and depression.
