Stephanie
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
I BELIEVE THAT ENGAGING IN THERAPY IS A COURAGEOUS CHOICE. EXPLORING OUR LIFE STORIES CAN BE TERRIFYING IF IT BRINGS UP PAIN, HEARTACHE, OR FEAR. MANY OF US SPEND YEARS TRYING TO FIND WAYS TO ECAPE THESE PAINFUL FEELINGS ONLY TO FEEL MORE STUCK. THERAPY OFFERS ANOTHER CHOICE. ONE THAT CAN MOVE US THROUGH OUR EXPERIENCES AND INTO A PLACE OF HOPE WHERE CA FEEL MORE PEACE AND CONNECTION.
AREAS OF FOCUS
I specialize in working with individual and relational issues from an attachment based, trauma informed, intersectional, systemic lens. I help people who want to explore sexuality, find relief from anxiety or depression, heal past trauma, address intimacy and sexuality issues, work through relationship difficulties, explore religious trauma, process grief, and authentically connect with themselves and others.
COUNSELING TECHNIQUE
In my approach to therapy I trust that we all have the innate ability to grow and heal. My aim as your therapist is to help you access your own inner wisdom and strength to help you move towards your values and desired experiences. My style is warm, collaborative, and I always aim to create a space that is non-judgmental, sex positive, antiracist, and gender and neurodivergent affirming.
I feel privileged to hear my client's stories and join them on their journey towards healing. Together we can come up with a plan that will help you to feel happier, more empowered, and increase your sense of trust in yourself and your relationships. I'm here for you.
