Stefanie (She/Her)
Professional Counselor Associate
AS HUMAN BEINGS, WE HOLD A UNIQUE HISTORY AND SET OF EXPERIENCES. EACH PLAYS A ROLD IN THE WAY WE FIND MEANING IN THE WORLD, THE WAY WE BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, AND THE WAY WE RELATE TO OURSELVES. THE STORIES WE DEVELOP FRM THESE EXPERIENCES CAN BE AFFIRMING OR LIMITING. THROUGH THERAPY WORK, I DEEPLY BELIEVE WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO CREATE A NEW RELATIONSHIP TO OURSELVES; ONE THAT IS COMPASSIONATE AND EMPOWERING.
AREAS OF FOCUS
I work with clients ages 17+ and support body positivity, as well as work with clients struggling with past history of trauma, anxiety and depression.
COUNSELING TECHNIQUES
My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy and collaboration. As an integrative therapist, I draw on cognitive behavioral, emotive, transpersonal, and somatic therapies with an emphasis on self-compassion and values-based actions. Knowing that we each inherently hold the capacity for growth, the ability to move through things which are difficult, and to celebrate the wins along the way, I invite you to explore your path in a way that speaks to your strengths. We will tailor our sessions so that you feel engaged, heard, and understood. I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey of self-discovery and healing.
EDUCATION CREDENTIALS
I earned my B.S. in Music at University of Oregon. I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bushnell University. I am an Oregon Registered Professional Counselor Associate, R10077. I am supervised by Minid Barta, LPC, C3787 and Janine McGraw, LPC, C4284, Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.
