Each individual and family has a story, though sometimes it may feel like you are no longer in control of how it is being written. I like to work with my clients so they become masters of their own story. In therapy, I take a client-centered approach to finding what works for each individual. I remain challenging yet sincere, open and non-judgmental to cater to client needs while ensuring a high standard of quality care. Therapy is a collaborative adventure to discover new skills or improve upon existing skills in order to create a more fulfilling and well-balanced life. My hope is to assist clients in finding their own voice, develop their own skills, and make positive lasting change.
My studies have given me a strong background in cognitive-behavioral therapy, though I find myself taking a holistic approach to treating client needs. I have experience working with a range of individuals from those with high needs in residential settings to those struggling with daily stressors or even wanting to find their optimal selves through positive psychology. I utilize various treatment approaches from different evidence-based practices in order to fill client needs. My experience has been with children, adolescents, young adults, and family systems. I specialize in working with complications from traumatic experiences, depression, anxiety, and ADHD; as well as oppositional defiance in children and adolescents.
