You may be feeling depressed, anxious, or simply stuck and struggling to shake off the weight of stressful demands of life and work. Giving it your all often happens at the expense of your own well-being. You may feel burned out, overwhelmed, or poorly about yourself. I can guide you toward meaningful transformation and life balance. You may also bring LGBTQ+, multicultural, and multi-generational specific needs as well as needs across the stages of life including menopause.
COUNSELING TECHNIQUES
I take a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to therapy and work collaboratively with you to identify root causes and stressors. Sessions include practical tools to help you feel safe, empowered, and supported using modalities including dialectical and cognitive behavioral therapies (DBT and CBT), parenting coaching, family systems work (including IFS), and acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), among others. My hope is that our work together can help you regain your strength, restore your peace of mind, and help you feel more confident in your ability to navigate life's challenges. When you leave sessions, my hope is for you to feel inspired, invigorated and hopeful, equipped with the tools and insights to continue your healing journey.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
I am a Eugene, Oregon resident of 30 years where I moved after earning my Master’s degree in Social Work. I enjoy adventuring and exploring the beauty of nature and spending time with my family. I seek to continuously learn and grow as a clinician and weave your insights with evidence-based treatment approaches and educate myself in emerging and promising practices.
EDUCATION CREDENTIALS
I earned my B.S. in Social Work at Western Kentucky University. I earned a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville and a Master of Social Work from Pacific University. I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Associate A15899, supervised by Nonie Ganakis, LCSW, L4677.
