LIFE CAN BRING FORWARD BOTH OBSTACLES AND REWARDS, AND MY HOPE IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE PLACE FOR YOU TO BUILD UPON AND DEVELOP NEW COPING STRATEGIES TO WORK THROUGH BOTH.
AREAS OF FOCUS
I work with individuals, families and couples, with an emphasis on couples and family work. I also pull from both Narrative Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy models to allow clients to explore their preferred outcomes and to increase awareness surrounding their emotional experiences and the influence it has on behavior.
COUNSELING TECHNIQUES
My approach to therapy is systemic which acknowledges the whole individual, and is influenced by the systems in which they are embedded. Together we will explore the relevant aspects in your life such as family, friends, your environment, work, school, gender, sexuality, faith and spirituality, all pieces of your identity, etc., and the role they hold in your daily life. It is most important to me that during our time together you feel heard and understood as you share what is relevant and important in your life.
Therapy is ultimately the place where your needs are being discussed and prioritized, and I seek to help clients identify goals for therapy within the framework of their lives, while employing a variety of methods that tailor to each individual’s unique situation.
EDUCATION CREDENTIALS
I earned my B.A. in Family Human Services and Psychology from University of Oregon in 2017. I earned my M.S. in Couples and Family Therapy from University of Oregon in 2022. I am an Oregon Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, T3047, Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.
