My approach is to be a co-collaborator in your journey towards mental wellness. Promoting resilience and self-efficacy is a core part of my approach, and together we can work to develop skills and techniques that will make us more adaptable in reactive situations, life transitions, and unexpected adversity. My practice approach includes using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) with the intent of establishing both an understanding of the sources to our distress, as well as identifying the means to taking corrective action on them.
I believe what we value as individuals is an important factor in achieving our goals within the therapeutic process. One aspect of my approach is to take inventory of these values and leverage them to reach the “true self”, or the part of each of us which embodies calmness, clarity, compassion, confidence, and courage. As an IFS practitioner, I believe these qualities, and so much more, exist in every one of us. My role will be to provide unconditional positive regard and care as we work towards these goals at a pace that is most comfortable for you. My fields of interest include, but are not limited to depression, anxiety, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, and men’s issues. I have worked with individuals from various backgrounds, including folks within the LGBTQ+ community, college-age students, and men of advanced age. The space we will hold is a welcoming one, and I gladly receive people of all identities and backgrounds within that space. I will be honored to walk along with you on this wonderful journey, and I look forward to when the time comes that we meet! Qualifications:
