Jaime Starck, LPC, Therapist
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon with eight (8) years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I am experienced in providing individual, couples, and family counseling to clients struggling with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, self-harm, life transitions, substance use, eating disorders, stress, parenting issues, and relationship concerns.
My goal is to create a supportive environment of trust, safety, and respect in which I can collaborate with you to identify solutions and goals to create a more fulfilling, meaningful life. I believe the therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance in facilitating a positive outcome in counseling. I strive to create an empathetic and non-judgmental outlet in which individuals can openly explore their challenges and goals. I believe in accepting and meeting individuals where they are at, while at the same time gently guiding them in the direction of their goals at a pace they are comfortable.
My counseling approach is based on Client-Centered Therapy, while also incorporating aspects of CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Social Learning Theory. Furthermore, I approach counseling from a strengths based perspective, building on individuals’ strengths to identify and implement strategies to overcome life’s difficulties. It is my belief that clients are the experts of their own lives, and I strive to tailor my approach to each individual’s unique wants and needs for therapy.
You have taken the first step towards creating a happier, healthier you. I would be honored to accompany you on this journey to help you achieve your goals and create a fulfilling, meaningful life.
