However you are feeling at this moment, I believe you have deep, natural sources of resilience inside you. My job as a therapist is to help you tap into the resources of your mind, body, and spirit, and support you to take charge of your own healing and growth. Often, the feelings, thoughts, and behaviors causing us the most difficulty in the present have their roots in old coping strategies that once helped us to survive and take care of ourselves. If you are struggling or uncomfortable now, it may be because you are ready to let go of these old patterns and find new ways of being that fit better with who you are today and who you want to become in the future.
My education in Western psychotherapy gives me a deep understanding of the brain processes behind depression, anxiety, shame, addiction, PTSD, and relationship problems. I have training in Internal Family Systems therapy, an evidence-based model that helps people permanently transform or eliminate the root causes of emotional distress.
I also offer tools for mind-body healing drawn from two decades of experience as a yoga practitioner and teacher, with additional training in yoga therapy. In 2022, I completed training in Neuromeditation, a brain-based approach using customized meditation techniques to repattern brain activity for greater emotional regulation and cognitive flexibility. Above everything, my intention is to offer you a safe, respectful place to be seen for who you are and to have your story fully heard. I respect the courage that it takes to begin this journey and would be honored to support your healing and growth. Qualifications:
