Cortney Madeira, LPC, Therapist
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor who has been working in the Willamette Valley for the past 9 years. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and families, including additional training in supporting adoptive and foster families. Common concerns I work with include behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression/mood disorders, trauma, eating disorders and attachment/relational problems. My approach to therapy incorporates play therapy and expressive arts, along with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Collaborative Problem Solving.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, that begins with the understanding that everyone is
doing the best they can in the moment and is capable of growth and learning the skills to do better in ways that are meaningful to them. I look forward to exploring your individual experiences and goals, and working with you to accomplish them.
