Associate Professional Counselor

I believe counseling works best when it is thought of as an intervention and source of support in a time of transformation or difficulty. As a counselor it is my job to help provide an environment in which we can work together on your path towards healing and desired change. My approach to counseling is an integrative approach that is systems, strength-based, and person-centered.
I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bushnell University. I completed my internship at the Bushnell University Counseling Center providing therapy to students and community members. I am trained in EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, I have experience integrating a wide variety of techniques including art therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy into my clinical practice.
Approach to Counseling:
I believe that people change when they have the awareness, skills, and motivation to do so. As human beings, we are constantly adapting to our surroundings and according to our experiences. Change is not linear. With this in mind, lasting change requires consistency and continued effort. Change happens gradually both naturally and as one acquires more insight and self-awareness around patterns and ways of being in their life. Whether you are seeking therapy to process through a specific event or symptoms you may be experiencing, are wanting to increase your self-understanding, or are looking for a space to help process through the complexities of life and what it means to be human, I admire your courage, resilience and commitment to yourself to take this next step towards healing and I look forward to working with you.
