Life is a beautiful and complex journey. Sometimes we find that throughout our life, we don’t receive the information or tools to develop helpful skills to navigate obstacles in our path. As your therapist, I’ll work with you to create awareness of belief systems and coping strategies that shape behaviors. We can then use this insight to create a roadmap to wellness and change. We’ll work to heal from painful experiences and build a healthy and sustainable life as we move forward.
I’m a Registered Intern in the state of Oregon. I have experience working with adolescents at a wilderness therapy practice as well as in a group home for adjudicated youth. I’ve also been a counselor for adults in a residential substance abuse facility, outpatient eating disorder clinic and a community mental health outpatient program. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, codependency, assertiveness, boundary setting, and self-esteem. My therapeutic approach includes Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe wholeheartedly in the mind-body connection and combine my therapeutic approach with nutrition, fitness, and self-care planning to foster holistic wellness. I am body positive, sex positive, and affirm disabled, BIPOC, gender and sexual minority folks.
